Apart from in the most northerly local districts, the bee-eater is common throughout the Lands of Lleida, where it has its highest densities in Catalonia and nests on slopes, in open fields, and in cultivated environments of all kinds. The species continues to grow in numbers and has possibly been favoured by climate change.
