Olive Oil Museum of Catalonia, La Granadella

Museu-oli-Granadella-945253

Route through the spaces of the Olive Oil Museum of Catalonia, at the heart of the headquarters of the Cooperative of La Granadella. This is a reference mill for the Catalan olive oil agro-industrial sector, which maintains both the machinery and the premises of these facilities, which date from the beginning of the 20th century and remain in a good state of conservation. The activity offers a stroll through the olive grove to discover the processes of cultivating and harvesting olive trees. It also includes a visit to the mill and the sala de piques (processing room), where it will be possible to observe extra virgin olive oil being made, from the olives entering and being pressed, through to the decanting of the olive oil and its commercialisation.
